From the past we should take and use the best, and that's exactly what the historical Italian motor house - Alfa Romeo - has done. Alfa Romeo chooses Brera as ambassador and witness of its story including in one car severaltypical features and recalls to the past of Arese. So the car "wears" the models that have given celebrity to the Italian house, shows all the details of the most beautiful Alfa cars, but reinventing them in a modern key. We want to give a special prize to the marketing campaign by which Alfa Romeois launching its model using the most different means of communication. Wewere fascinated by the poetry of the tv spot of Alfa 159, we have considered exceptional the "American Beauty" style of the radio-spot of Alfa Romeo Spider where the italian Kevin Speacy dubber says :"The first day of the rest of your life". The Alfa style is conquering the italian hearts also thanks to this exceptional advertising campaign, and then there is "the car" and it is worth speaking about.

Inside and outside, perfect Alfa style
The line looks perfect: it is of a disarming beauty: when it runs in the city traffic it's like a top-model in the runway... everybody admires it! Old style front, gently rounded rear bumper, sensual side, every detail is harmonic and full of sex-appeal, of an unforgettable beauty. The two front passengers have comfortable seats and good space while the two rear seat shave small space (perhaps they are more suitable for goods and luggage than for persons). The Brera’s central console is the same as those of 159 and 159 Soprt Wagon even if the front seats of Brera are more encircling and elegant suited to the new coupè sports car.

Alfa Brera has two JTS patrol engines: 2.2 litres of 185hp and a more powerful 3.2 litres for 260hp, both with 6 gears. The access model (2.2) can reach 100km/h in 8.6 seconds, and it's 20kg lighter than the earlier version. It has a twin phaser of the suction and exhaust valves. The best Brera propulsor is the 3.2 V6 of 260 hp which develops a torque of322nm @4500rpm. 6.8 seconds from 0 to 100km/h and 240Km/h top speed. In order to stay inside the Euro 4 parameters the 3.2 has an exhaust system with advanced catalytic elements to reduce the emissions at the beginning. Last but not least the great brera's diesel engine: 2.4 5 cylinders for 200hp and incredible torque, passing from 0 to 100km/h in only 8 seconds: this model has been object of our long test.

It is a pleasure to drive it! There is great comfort on board, the seats are ergonomic, the equipment is clear. The "Sky Window" special glass roof gives brightness. The speed gear is sporting, easy and very precise. The suspensions are multilink and give high standard of comfort. The brake system of Brera is formed by two independent crossed circuits which enable avery short stop space. The steering wheel is reactive. This turbo diesel 2.387 can really satisfy also the most exigent driver.
